In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about the color of her skin until she met her adopted sister who was from South Korea. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed in the times they went out with their parents, and in the case of going out on their own. Meg responded "Oh sure! Every all the time!" Heigl spoke to Parents about the moment she realised her ignorance. Heigl admitted she became upset and believed it was crucial to put her anger towards helping her adopted daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old husband, Josh Kelley. Their daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl who was adopted by the couple in 2012.
